Well this has been a difficult week. Work is going really good and I am enjoying the kids and my co-workers, for the most part. You cannot get along with everyone in the world, I have found. I decided that I was tired of being sick, I got sick over Easter for the seventh time since moving to North Carolina, and went to the doctor. I decided to go to an Allergist, since most of the trouble started after having an allergy attack. He decided on my first visit to start some of the testing. If you have never had allergy testing done, well let me tell you what it was like. I had to lie on my stomach for 30 minutes while they stuck these little needles into my back, a total of 60. What is even better, is that in two months, I get to go back for 100 more needle pricks. If you start to have a reaction, you start to itch, which you cannot do. I thought I would go crazy not being able to scratch my back. I did react to quite a bit actually, so much that the doctor looked at the results and said, "You are going to have a rough 6 months." I ended up getting a steroid shot before leaving his office the other day and some allergy medicine at home. After the next battery of testing, we are going to make the decision whether or not I have to start receiving allergy shots. Which by the way, I am not to keen on. He said that I reacted to some bad enough, that it would be the best choice for me. The pollen is really bad here right now, there is pretty much a blanket of pollen on everything.
Well, on to other things. We are still working on the lawn and landscaping. The grass seed will be going in sometime next week, which I decided to hire out to someone. I just did not know if I could handle the equipment and everything. We changed some of the plants that are in the front and have some more to get done at some point. We have had a lot of rain lately, which is a good thing since we were in a drought, the water levels are now almost back to normal.
Well, now I have to go and clean the entire house top to bottom, doctor's orders.
