Another Weekend Goes By

So this is what I have been doing for the past week. The grass seed was put down last Monday and we have had to water every day since then. If I am not watering the grass, then I am watering the new shrubs that I planted. I have 3 hoses going at one time around the property. I am also remembering how impatient that I am watching the grass grow. The booklet tells me that it maybe more then a month before I see anything, but that does not stop me from checking each and everyday. In a month, I might be crazy.

Dad sent a package up this past weekend, and in it was a raincoat for Mikki. Mikki has one other shirt to wear when it is cold, but she does not seem to enjoy them very well. She hates the rain more though so maybe it will work. The funny part, was that after I put it on, she would not move or anything, just stared at me.

On Sunday night it decided to rain, which I was happy about because of needing the soil to be wet. So we put Mikki's coat on and went out. It definitely kept her drive, but she was not impressed. She kept trying to shake it off.

Sunday after noon we decided to go to the Horticultural park at Sandhills Community College. It was very pretty and some of the flowers are finally in bloom. Here are some of the plants that we saw. Plus one of mom and Mikki, even though we were not supposed to have a dog in the park. Ooops!!!
