A Warm Welcome

So this is my second post tonight, my first one went into cyberspace oblivion. This was the greeting that was waiting for me at my desk when I arrived yesterday. As you can see from the previous post that the outside of the building is really nice. The inside is just as great, very appropriate for a therapy building. The other therapists that I work with are all really great. They work really well as a team. The all enjoy having a good time while they are working. The other SLP that is there is really great and we are already bouncing ideas off each other about the kids. Things are kind of slow for me, because I am having to building up the caseload. This means that I am having to do a lot of evaluations for kids to begin their services. Some of these kids having been waiting since last summer for their services to begin. When the next two weeks are completed, I will have done 10 evaluations, that is as long as no one else gets added to my caseload. Well it is only a little past 7 and the weather is really nice right now, so I thought that I would go for a Rollerblade around the complex.

Very different than the reception I received! I don't even have a desk, just a spot I share with about 10 other therapists! I'm the only SLP, so no collaboration for me! I wish I liked working with peds, because I would LOVE to be in that facility!
