So the last few days here have been hot and it is not supposed to get any better. This morning we did a 5K race and by the time we finished at 9:45 it was 92 degrees outside. So when any sane person would have gone inside and worked inside, I decided to work outside. First I mowed my weeds again, thinking I could put down weed and feed. But nope, you can't when it is really hot. I now understand why grandpa only made the guys work outside and not the princess of the family.
For most of the day, this was the temperature outside. It stayed over 100 for around 5 hours. And right now, though the sun is down and it is 9:30 p.m. it is still 90 degrees outside. I thought that I moved from Florida to get away from the heat. The worst part is that it is only June and things can only get hotter. We are supposed to stay at or over 100 for the next 3 days. Not fun.
So here is the pool that I decided to get. First we had to make sure that they ground was level. I called my uncle for some suggestions and went to work. We had to take a few breaks due to almost passing out from the heat, which added some excitement. We got it so it looked almost level enough for the pool. You probably cannot see it, but by this time I was drinking my water out of a 4 cup measuring cup, which was filled with ice and water. It was hot.
Here is the next stage of filling up the pool, which was when we realized that we did not have the ground level enough.
Getting closer and much more noticeable about the unevenness of the ground.
Pool is now filled and bedded down for the night. The pool will stay uneven for this summer. Maybe by next year I can figure out how to properly make the ground level for the pool to sit right. At least when it is not 102 degrees outside. I finish this post completely exhausted and sun burnt and ready for bed.
This is a movie clip from the Sandhills Children Center (my job) pre-kindergarten graduation. The program is 50=50 for normal developing children and development delay children. They had been practicing this song for weeks now, it was starting to drive a person crazy hearing it 20 times a day in 4 different classrooms. So please enjoy my kids.
